The Barong Tagalog, more commonly known simply as Barong , is an embroidered formal shirt and considered the male national dress of the Philippines. It is lightweight and worn untucked over an undershirt. A symbol of National Pride, this ethnic formal wear has evolved from its' lowly past and now worn by dignitaries from around the world who ever visited the Philippines.
It's both elegant and charming, masculine and appealing. Skillfully hand-painted and embroidered by the meticulous artisans of Lumban, Laguna, Philippines.

We only recommend hand-washing on our items with mild soap. Use toothbrush to scrub off dirt and DO NOT Squeeze. Hang dry only. Iron on a low to moderate heat. Iron on reverse side only of a painted area.

I love barongs, but whenever we go to the Philippines oddly enough I can't find one that fits my husband. They tell us it has to be custom made and all that, but this time we made sure to measure correctly and it fit my husband really well. Great quality! Lots of compliments! Can't wait to purchase another one from this seller! Typically my husband is a 2X & we purchased 4X. Worked out great!
